This Palestinian tatreez coin purse is handmade by makers in Arroub Refugee Camp, south of Bethlehem. The geometric pattern grows one stitch at a time, connecting an everyday piece to the people and place behind it.
A dark zip with a simple silver-coloured pull keeps loose change together. Small differences in the stitching are part of each piece, left by the hands that made it.
